Muppozhudhum Un Karpanaigal Review
Muppozhudhum Un Karpanaigal a romantic thriller fails to keep the audience glued to their seats. The movie claiming to be a love story does not take off in the right sense. The film is shot in some breathtaking locations and is sure a treat to the eyes, yet the sequence is missing somewhere. After a good start the movie goes wrong somewhere leading to uneasiness in the audience.
Ram (Atharava) an IT professional working in Chennai is in love with Charu (Amala Paul) who is in Bangalore and shuttles between Chennai-Bangalore to keep his love alive. Ram is thrown out of gear after Charu ditches him. The story comes back to Chennai where Latha (Amala Paul) heads the company where Ram is an employee. Now the suspense in the form of a complicated psychological disorder called motivational delusion surfaces. Latha who is engaged to an USA based guy tries to help Ram. Love blossoms again for Ram this time with Latha. One fine day Latha leave him. Whether the duo will be able to come together, will Ram get over his disorder is the remaining half.
The movie directed by Elred Kumar who turned director from producer for this movie loses string. Atharva has put in lot of effort and proves he is here to stay. Amala Paul also does a great job. Santhanam’s comedy does not have any substance and hence leaves the audience grim.
Two people who need a pat on their back are cinematographer Sakthi and music director G V Prakash. But despite their extraordinary effort the movie really slips off your mind.
Doesn’t take off at all!!
