Kollaikaran Review

Kollaikaran another Pongal release that hit the theatres on Friday 13 talks about sibling sentiments. While this is not new for the Tamil audience the twists and turns of events make the movie interesting. The movie is directed by Tamilselvan and has Vidarth of Myna fame in the lead. Vidarth has done justice to his role and is being seen as a more refined actor playing the title role of Kollaikaran. Sanchita Shetty plays the female lead in the film.

A small time thief Vidarth wants to make it big that leads to interesting twists in his life. The smart thief makes a mistake and from here things change for the hero. He has a elder sister and younger brother and the attachment between the siblings is related with the right set of emotions though at times the scenes become predictable which the director could have avoided.

Sanchita Shetty, the Thilalangadi girl is the arm candy of Vidarth and does a good job. The others in the cast are Ravishankar, Dass, Crane Manohar and Mohan Vaidhya.

The camera is by Yuvaraj, editing is by LVK Das, Stunts by T Ramesh and Art is by Paulraj.

Will the movie survive with the like of Nanban and Vettai is a wait and watch game.
